working with frontpage directly on the server

hey gang Smiling

having been self taught to use frontpage i always logged onto my server.

i recently had trouble with my site and the help desk said it was because i worked directly from my server, as oopposed to working on my PC and publishing to the server.

i have done it this way for 2 years without any issue so i am sceptical of what they are saying.

whot do you think? am i doing somthing wrong?

was my teacher a fool? :eek:
