It's likely a padding/spacing issue. To make thing appear consistent throughout browsers, one of the biggest tips I can give is to always explicitly declare your padding and spacing in all block-level elements.

Do you use pixel or percentage in setting up the boxes?
I have had problems like that when I used pixel to insert boxes

Personally, I generally use pixels. Often you'll need to use percentages in some places and pixels in others.
Generally (there are always exceptions) if I have mixed percentages and pixels, the widths and horizontal padding/spacing tend to be percentages while all the heights and vertical padding/spacing are pixels. Not always, but generally.
