Does anyone know of any legal sites where I could obtain a good Website Disclaimer/Privacy Policy? I'm looking for one that is legally sound, not just one thrown together by someone who isn't familiar with the law.
I'm willing to pay for the disclaimer if necessary.

Install something on your computer, read the EULA, theres a part there about Disclaimer/Privacy policy, copy and edit it? Just a suggestion...

This would be something I would provide to other businesses, so I'm not going to copy someone else's disclaimer unless it is provided specifically for people to copy and use.

Do you have your own lawyer? Let him write one for you... at least then it will be more powerful...

It would be much cheaper, however, if we had one that a lawyer wrote and was selling multiple copies of, than getting one custom written.

A lot of lawyers have 'templates' that they tailor to your sites details, then charge you for creating a new one ... *mutters nasty stuff about lawyers ..*
A lot of people copy of other sites, rewording to suit. I also looked into this but found a lot of sites missing a lot of stuff and the ones that were completish were from another country (which laws are different).
I never got mine done, but the idea is to write it out for a 5 year old to understand, and include everything no matter how basic you think it is. Then give it to someone else to proof read, then take it to a lawyer (arrange first) to go over it with legal mind and just mention what is missing without actually doing anything, will still cost you a few 100, but otherwise can cost thousands.
