How does everyone feel about the 2 different types of site searches? I'm currently using an engine that spiders the entire site on each search, but am contemplating going to one that indexes the site in one chunk and then uses that index file as the basis for the search. The site is currently about 1000 pages.
The index system will certainly be faster for each search, but will need an index file that will be 2-3MB and that will need to be rebuilt whenever the site is updated. What type do you use and why?

All I know is I use Atomz.com. It works incredible, no problems at all.
