I needed to download an image from my web site and when I viewed it.the image was "all jumbled" up....colors, etc didn't even look like the image. I suspect it has something to do with the transfer mode.

Question: When uploading or downloading images via ftp, can anyone tell me what "transfer mode" is correct? Does it make any difference......I see ASCII, local, auto, binary and don't which to use, or if it makes a difference. My image files are either jpg, or gif

Thanks!

All images should be transfered in binary mode. Auto will usually suffice, do not use ASCII or you'll get the big mess you currently see.
