ok guys heres one that drives me crazy, my companies site is cure-skin-parasite.com and it load the background 1st then loads the rest of the page in about 10 seconds later... but mu competitor site loads up super fast i have looked at the code and see NO differences. we both have long pages and alot of images.
any ideas?

Put your site and the competitor's through http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/index.html and maybe that will lead you to the reason.
Geez, your site takes more than 500 seconds to load on a 56k modem. You need to redesign your site, you aren't going to get that down unless you make drastic changes.

place all your external javascript links at the bottom of the page, compress your images, tidy your code (lots of wasted tags in there).
Your background alone is 66kb, the picture of the girl is 28kb, the small picture of the mite is 17kb thats over 100kb in just 3 images

Your site could be improved quite a bit from that one sales page layout. It would be good for several reasons.
1. SEO - More pages looks better to the search engines. Also, it gives you more chances to go for more keywords using your title and description tags.
2. Usability - If that page was spread over three or more pages, it would load faster and be more organized. Also, It wouldn't seem so long if it was spread out. That page scrolls forever.
3. Trust - After people have been on the web a while, they have probably been burned at least once. If they have ventured into online marketing, they have probably been burned by someone with a one-page mini-site like yours. I realize that those pages convert, but maybe a more traditional site that looks more trustworthy will convert better.
I'm sure there are more good reasons to fix your site, but those three are probably the strongest reasons.

If you're using the firefox web browser you can disable javascript and images (both from tools/options/content and uncheck load images and uncheck enable javascript).
Even with these two disable the page still takes a bit to load, your rss feeds dont help but is the length of your page
