remote http uploads to ftp server

i recently encountered a problem trying to download files from http links to my ftp server. i looked all over the forums but could not find any services. google spitted out this one http://directransfer.net Well, it really does help to upload http links to an ftp server. just in case you also face this problem. would appreciate if people could share other similar services or scripts here
