Was wondering if anyone knew the domain extensions that you can register only with a US residency. I know that some domain extensions recquire you to have some kind of residency in that country the extension is associated with. Can't seem to remember wether the list is rather small or big. Well will be searching google for some answers, but if you know them or can refer me to a webpage I would be more then greatful.

Maybe this http://www.onlinenic.com/english/faqs/faq_us.html is what you're thinking of.
I'm not sure if they ask for "proof" before you register a .US extension though.

I guess they do require some type of proof.

Well you don't have to be a U.S. resident to get a .us domain, According to the NIC.US website they have accredited Registars not only in the U.S. but also in Canada, Europe and (Oy vey mir) the Middle East.
