Hi,
When i bookmarked TWF on IE5, i saw next to the bookmark a little logo of TWF. My question is how did you do it? And the reason i posted this msg here at the Promotion tips forum, is because i think it's a good idea to have your site stand out among the rest of the bookmarks when a vistor bookmark your site.
So, if anyone can help i'll be very glad.
Thanks and best regards,
Eitan

i'm surprised, that not a lot of sites use this possibility or don't even know about it.
we realized it, when we looked at our logfile and saw all those /favicon.ico 404-errors...

Hi,
it's also a great way to track how many visitors bookmark your site by looking at the "get favicon.ico" on server logs.

It only works in IE 5.5.
Sometimes it doesn't show up, that's normal. Try emptying your temp files. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

I also tried this on a clients site that wanted it but it never worked for theirs either. I don't know if it's perhaps something to do with the hosting companies server???

it didn't work with our site neither. i saw several sites, that showed it up once, after restarting it was gone... i guess it's nothing to rely on in any kind.
probably we should ask the guys at google groups. their icon is working...
