Hi, I've written some code in PHP that drags pages off the web in a similar way to a search engine. What I need to do with these pages is find out how old they are i.e. the publication date or some other indication of there approxiamate age. Does anyone know if such info is available and if so how to get it?

I think http://www.domaintools.com/ has API for developers. AFAIK, they have a huge historical DB for domain names and websites. domaintools.com owns whois.sc and they have this archiving robot that crawls to pull informations. You can contact them regarding your requirement.
