over at nabhome.ch there's a nice and small tool for compressing images to web-format.
you can adjust your desired image-sizes in the ini-file. then you open your file, choose the size you want it to have and save it again. all the rest (resolution, file-type, ...) will make the software for you.
you may change the language to english in the ini-file too.
it's ideal for those of you, who often use the same file-sizes and don't want to lose time with image-compressing.
and well, it's free...

I set the language to 'en' but that doesn't work... and my knowledge of the Swiss language is not that good

at least you recognized it as swiss-german...
well, it's not [en], it's [gb]. don't ask me why... probably s.o. from great-britain programmed it...
