Hi everyone, i'm looking for a CMS (possibly) or News-M-S that basically gives you the title of the news aricle but you have to be registered to actually view the full artical, any suggestions?
P.S. I know that mambo does this but i don't want to use it)
Thanks

If you have any experience at coding (or want to gain some), this would probably be a pretty easy tweak to most news CMS's out there. I've mucked around quite a bit with PHP Nuke, and I think it should be pretty straight forward once you learn about how their system works.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of a specific CMS that fulfills this requirement. Have you checked Drupal, that is - at least - very easy to customise.
One good place to start is: http://www.opensourcecms.com there you can try out the different CMS and find one that will meet your requirements.
Feel free to let us know how you get on, it's always good if anyone else has the same problem!

What I can think on top of my head is Wordpress... theres a plugin where you can choose what people can see on the welcome page and let them register to see the complete news...

What about Joomla? Give it a try. It is a free script.
I would stay away from PHP Nuke. Too many security flaws. I had a PHP Nuke portal that got hacked into several times.
