Does anybody know a way that I can have an input area in which somebody types a number (the square footage of their home) and it runs it through a formula that multiplies it to give them three different answers?
You can see the page I'm working on here:
http://www.gallohomedesign.com/homes-healthy-costcomparison.html
I basically want users to be able to put in their square footage and see a comparison showing what it would cost to for monthly gas & electric charges for a "standard home", an "energy star home" and a "Healthy Home."
I made an Excel file which worked fine, but it was not user friendly at all.
Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!

best way to go about that is to write it down in english on paper.
From there do your code.
If you can't do the code show the written paper of how to do it to programmer, who will then whip out somthing like that in just a few minutes

If you can make the excel version more user friendly I belive you can transfer it into a mysql database, and with PHP to display/calculate would have what you need
<?bhb if(broken){ echo("It wasn't me
"); } ?>
