Hello, just for a bit of fun i want to start a internet radio station. Has anyone done this before because i have no idea how to go about doing this.
Do you need a liscence?
What sort of components or plugins etc would you need?
any advice would be greatful.

No, you won't need a licence, but you will have to pay royalties on any music you play (unless it's your own!)
What sort/genre of station are you starting, anyway?

Im interested in the possibility of internet radio advertising? Do you think it is something that will be bigger in the future, perhaps judging from the popularity of internet radio now.

This is just my personal opinion, and I've certainly been wrong before, but I kind of doubt it. On broadcast radio, and even satellite radio, you're limited as far as the number of stations you can listen to. With internet radio advertising, it's just virtually unlimited. Anyone can start an internet radio station if they really want to.

How do i go about starting a internet radio station? How do they work? I dont want to join one of these big websites where you just use thier services, i want to have my own independant site.
