Most of the "whois" scripts you see at places like godaddy.net or register.com are all linked to the same database.
Check around google to see if you can find some tips

Yeah; they use an internal program that checks a central database somewhere. Try hotscripts.com and see if they have what your looking for in the language you are wanting to use.
