No, not articles, I mean little features, extra little pieces of information?

This doesn't necessarily apply to those who utilise common content management systems but more to people who have coded their own.

I personally like to introduce something new at least once a month, no matter how small, usually something which will satisfy what someone has asked for.

Today I added a date field to my articles at my website because a) People found it hard to tell what content was new and what wasn't
b) It allows me to develop my news archiving module I'm working on even further.

I feel that adding little features continuously to your site rather than settling for what you start off with ultimately means your site will continue to impress the majority of people.. opinions?

Well, you need to know a littl about me before I can answer your question.
I have 6 websites (8 doamins). None of them get more than 10 visitors a day. One hasn't been updated in over a year. I add new features all the time. 80% of my "final products" are still a work in progress. I need to see something in order it make it better.

depending on the type of site, the date can work against you. A news site its good, an article site is ok, a joke site or something is bad as the older stuff will remain in the search engines longer which will have more chance of being seen first, if you just have a 'next' link it could take hours to get up to date.

I wish I had the time to update some of my sites, my html site for example hasn't been touched in a year or so - just lack of time
