I feel kinda silly asking this, but can u put a table in a table? if not can you get 2 tables on the same line (for example having 2 tables exacly horizontal to each other)

Yes, and yes -- either by floating or aligning them left/right or by tucking them into a bigger holder.
However, nested tables are almost always unnecessary. What are you trying to do?

I'm totally re-designing my site (the old design is pretty bad) the new design has 3 main columns which make up the page. Each column is a table and, even though I have no in between the tables, they arrange themselves vertically. I was looking for a way to fix this.
