Hello

Honestly your current forum is one of the best based drupal forums I've ever seen so far

Please I'd like to ask how did you set the quote module you are using here with the forum to display the quoted text in such a way without showing the practices!?

I mean when I tried it for my website I've found it displaying the pactices as well as the text but not in a quoted way.

I mean it is displaying like this:

= username ] test [ /quote ]</strong><br /> *Please note that I've added extra spaces to break the code to let it show as it is showed in my case.</p> <p>While I want it to be displayed like this:<br /> [quote=username wrote:
test

I do not mean to copy your work, but please I mean how to set it to be displayed in such a way?

The same thing happened with me for the smilyes module as it is only displaying the text and not the icons.

Thanks a lot Smiling

Don't worry about this being copying our work, there's a big difference between helping people to get stuff working and ripping off a design. Smiling

The reason for the quotes and smilies not working is probably because -- even though you enabled the modules -- the input formats haven't been setup yet.

Go into Administer → Site configuration → Input formats then configure whichever input format it is you’re using for forum posts (probably the first one, the default).

Under the Filters part of the configuration page you’ll need to check the boxes next to the filters provided by the Smileys and Quote modules.

Post back if you get stuck on this. Smiling

Yes yes yes ... Thanks a lot my friend ... working like a charm now.

Please just one more thing regarding smiles module ... it says that I can import phpbb3 smiles package into the smiles drupal module.

I was using phpbb3 for a while before I made up my mind set on Drupal for the whole website instead. And I am already have some smiles package that I've made for my phpbb3 forum which is the common php smiles adjusted to work with phpbb3 forum.

Here is an image for some of them

And this is the package itself that I've made in my own.

And I did uploaded the package as mentioned in the module but after installing it nothing showed at all and it is not working. So please may you help me with this issue!?

Thanks a lot

I’ve never imported a phpbb smiley pack, but it seems quite straight forward.

You’ll need to enable ‘Smileys Import’ in Administer → Site building → Modules; then go to Administer → Site configuration → Smileys → Smileys → Import

You’ll see it says, under the Import tab:

To import new Smileys, download smiley packs for phpBB or Adium and extract them in packs folder under the smileys module's folder.

So, your Smileys module folder is probably located in /sites/all/modules/smileys/, in there is the packs directory, where you should put the pack to be imported. I’m assuming it will then appear on the Import tab’s list.
