I just got an e-mail from Borland today for their "Buy RAD Studio, Get Delphi for PHP Free” promotion... I didn't even know they made something for PHP (I myself use Zend Studio)
So got me looking, and I thought I would share the link to their app here:

I am going to give it a try, and will post back here when I get a change to review it.
It is only $299 for Delphi for PHP, Zend Studio is $399. (well currently $299 on promotion), however I am looking forward to a more "developed" IDE environment, I mean Borland has a long history of making a decent IDE. Zend's at times on my system can have sluggish periods (being that it is java based), so looking to see how well Borland's is.
Anyhow, thought I would share the info.

Ok, while waiting for download, I looked into the program more, and I'm getting excited. When I started Learning ASP.Net, I loved how it handled writing code just a regular windows APP. Looks like this is designed to do the same!
I was going to wait till tomorrow to play with this, but I may just have to do it tonight!

I don't think it follows anymore that Java-based applications are slow because of it. Java machines have been decently quick for at least a couple of years, in my experience. I have no doubt that Zend may get sluggish, though, for whatever other reasons.

Does it support remote projects? That's the main thing keeping me from using UltraEdit Studio. I would try it out myself, but they make you register. Lame!
On the topic of editors: I downloaded Easy Eclipse for PHP and I was fairly impressed with the code window, and that was about it. But you might want to check it out. Unfortunately it's written in Java, so it is really sluggish. http://easyeclipse.org/site/distributions/php.html. The price is right too
Dreamweaver is still my favorite editor. A lot of people still think it's noobish; they only see it as a WYSIWYG editor. But it sure makes writing (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP a whole lot easier (and what's amateurish about making things simple?) Best part of all is remote projects

Agreed, it's not just a noobish editor. What impressed me was how it caters for everyone with code completion and not fiddling with values you've set (unlike Frontpage).
Anyway, sorry for going off-topic there. Looking forward to reading a review of Delphi for PHP, sounds interesting!
