Hi, guys!

In your opinion, what is the best eCommerce script to be in use?

Like any topic of "what is the best", it cannot really be answered until you give more details on the use.

What environment
What use do you need out of it
Are you willing to pay for it
Best in which way? Price, features, speed, looks?
(usually people mean "best to get in place for as little cost to make me the most money")

As a hard core programmer, my answer would be that the best script is the one you custom write to fit the needs of what you are trying to accomplish Wink

Hey there. If you don't have a big budget you can try OsCommerce, ZentCart or ZeusCart as refered above, but there is a solution (which I considere the best) called cs-cart. You can try them without hesitation. Please, check them out, seek at google for: cs-cart and you'll find them. They have a community version if you have not much money. But, if you have a considerable budget, I recommend you to buy their license.

I'm familiar with osCommerce and Zen Cart CMSs, don't like them at all (too generic as for me), yet those communities don't release new system versions every month like some others do Smiling

I know nothing about ZeusCart, but I think it functions the same way as above mentioned ones.

ohhh Magento, it's awesome and an advanced one. I've even created a web template on the basis of this system. And now I'm working hard to release some new themes coded on Magento.

It depends on what you are selling. Most shopping carts cater to certain types of products/services.

Definitely OpenCart, so easy to use! Although WHMCS is possibly the best for web hosts.

I heard about this CMS, and as for me, it's gaining more and more popularity among web shop owners. With this in mind I'm considering the option of learning the basics of the system. Hope it won't be too sophisticated.

There is couple of eCommerce system available, it depends so much on your specific requirements. But I would recommend Zen Cart, and I am sure Zen Cart will be the best solution for your eCommerce website. It is free and has a lot of advantages.
