Hello!
If you have few mins please have a look at one dedi/colo servers provider : http://www.sologigabit.com/index.php?page=products
They offer "AMD packages". And there are 3 choices.
Which one would you recommend to subscribe with video streaming project and what are differences?

That host is very expensive in my opinion. You might want to consider shopping around.
But to answer your questions anyway:

The differences on that host are you get more hard drive space and monthly bandwidth allowance the more you pay. All the packages are the same server. Then after a certain price the "2Gbps Dedicated Uplinks" changes to a "1Gbps Awesome! Uplink".
Not only do I have no idea why they use the word "awesome" but I know if you need 2gbps (or even 1gbps) uplink you would know about it - it's a LOT and I can't see you ever needing that.

Which one would suit you is hard to say. It depends on how many videos you are serving at one time, how many users are viewing etc.

Their cheapest server is a lot of resource, more than required if your site only gets say 100 visitors a week.
Without knowing your sites setup, caching setup and what size/quality vids you are showing etc it's hard to say what you will need.

Is this a new site? If yes then you have 0 regualr visitors, so for the first few months (3-6) you might be better of with a much cheaper server until you get a larger audience.

My suggestion would be find a decent priced host, make sure they will allow an upgrade if you need it and buy a smallish server.

The cheapest server for the host you linked is this
AMD X4 6000+
4096MB RAM DDR2
4000 GB 7.200rpm+RAP
2Gbps Dedicated Uplinks
5000 GB Transfer p/m
384 euros/month

The first other host site I tried is 1&1.co.uk and here's a comparison price/server

AMD Opteron Dual Core 2.6 GHz
4 GB DDR
2 x 400 GB Hard Drive
100 MBit bandwidth
Unlimited Traffic
187 euros/month

That's about half price of the other one. They are also having a three months free deal on that particular server. Although I believe you still have to pay xx up front you do get a few months free on a yearly contract.

They also have a decent server for 124 euros/month. Which might still be more than you need until you get a lot of visitors.

I don't think it's worth to go for the cheapest deal as often for the price you get only a bare server with nothing else like control panel.

That's true in a lot of cases, but not always.
And it certainly isn't worth going with an over priced host, as is the one Vicerus posted.

If you need colo and dedis services I'd recommend you GlobalTap.com services. If you order a dedi from them now you will get 512MB RAM
upgrade FREE. Their Disk-to-Disk Backup is an interesting option that is worth your attention.

GlobalTap.com offer some discounts for their colocation services at the moment

Quote:

Globaltap Advantage Colocation Special: Free 1U of space with 10mbps/month commitment for 6 months.

You may as well look for other discounts available in the industry.
To the OP:
The main difference is that colocation allows you to save a lot of money if you are going to use host's services for quite a time.
