It really depends on your needs. But the big thing is to make sure there are no hidden costs. Also find out what extra charges there are for extra bandwidth and disk usage. Most hosts now bundle forums, guestbooks and other open source programs. Remember you can usually get these same program for free so what you really want to look for is what programming languages you get included and also what types of databases you can setup. Also you may want to see what type of site builder they have if you plan on using the one provided by the host. One other key feature is the email options such as webmail, antivirus and antispam tools.
