I'm looking for a nice shared web hosting, my sites have this specs:
- 1 GB of space and growing
- 12 GB of bandwidth and growing
- Multiple domains (I've 3 right now, one is international .ec)
- FTP downloads (I don't know if I need a dedicated IP or an anonymous FTP for that)
Other than that, I don't use a lot of emails.. I use some small MySQL database.. but I don't want a hosting with a LOT of features (like bluehost or ixwebhosting) if is gonna oversell a lot and later the site is to slow.
I want a hosting that doesn't fail, not a hosting with a lot of stuff that I'm nt gonna use. Any suggestions are really appreciated.

Have yu visited Offers sections at web hosting forums? Might be a good start, then also Webhostdir.com and Hostsearch.com review sites are good places to search, look thru the threads here at the forum as well.

Wanna say some warm words about services from ServerPoint.com, LunarPages.com and Ahosting.biz. These companies have been in the web hosting sphere for a fair while and have nice reputation. Their first rate customer support coupled with very competitive pricing attracts many web masters to their services.

Oh yes. I would like to join, especially about Ahosting.biz - their reputation is rock solid and service is of a very high rate!
They have been running for several years and thus might be considered as a stable and reliable company. Take a look - maybe thier plans would satisfy your requirements.
However, I think there is a sence of looking through several companies - that would be helpful for objective decision.

Six months ago I researched very carefully and found that StartLogic has good pricing, good features, good reviews and few negative comments.
I have had nothing but problems and I am leaving them.
Yes, I have heard good things about LunarPages but I think I will go with BlueHost they were very responsive when I contacted them and assured me my little Drupal sites won't take 3-4 minutes to load like on SL (when the handshake happens quickly they load in 10-15 seconds so it's not my code).
I think web hosting unleashed is a good resource for advice, reviews, comparison of features, and coupons and offers.
You will find horror stories about every budget host there, even Lunarpages and Bluehost. And not one positive review for StartLogic since I joined...
I think the budget hosting companies follow a business cycle: they upgrade, get a good reputation, get a lot of new customers, get crowded, services start to deteriorate, then when they start losing a certain number of customers they upgrade again. Like everything else in life, you gotta be in the right place at the right time.
But probably some companies have a lower threshold of failure before they upgrade, those are the ones to stay with.
Want a laugh? One of my clients came up with Reality Bender hosting featuring "Quantum Controlled Web Site Hosting" - I researched, seems the company was founded a few years back to manipulate stock prices... This company is so far out it is not even on the web hosting unleashed radar...
And don't forget there are free hosts for nonprofits (501c3). I am working with a nonprofit and we are applying to Grassroots.org which not only offers free hosting specifically with Drupal support, but also can provide a domain registration (top-level, not subdomain) for one year to get started. Someone from Grassroots replied to a post I made at the Drupal community with very positive comments - biased of course - but genuine.

That's a good idea to look at free hosting options if you are a non-profit, but if you gonne make money on your project, then getting a basic shared account may be a better idea, you may check polurnet.com or hostww.net shared hosting options.

Have a look at downtownhost.com. They have 7 years great service (I haven't seen any bad review on them).
Use trusted web hosts by time and other people. Do not spend your time for search on new web host.

DowntownHost.com has been in the web hosting industry for a long while and I have read only positive feedbacks.

I also have a starter package with one domain and one db for $4/mo $48/year - yeah, it's very basic, but very cheap, too!
I am a reseller making very little profit, mostly offering a service - the server has 99% uptime - support has been very prompt and helpful
(BTW my BlueHost account has gone down twice in the last week

Thanks for all your replies, lads.
I think of shared hosting from Glowhost.com, they seem the most suitable for my demanding requirements. Prices are cheap and they offer enough resources to use them.
