Who sets the prices for those?
I checked cat.tv and cats.tv and nearly fell of my chair when I saw they were available! I asked to register them and I nearly fell off my chair for the second time! At Registerfly they asked for 67,000 for the cat.tv and 18,000 for the cats.tv!!! Isn't there a fixed price on the tv tld?

if i remember correctly the country of origin for .tv sold the roights to a private comopnay so they can be sold at whatever price the see fit.

http://www.tv is the holder of the .tv domain name. They paid a huge amount to Tuvalu for the rights to the extension, so I guess they're trying to make that money back.
I can register j.tv for the small price of $50,000. I think I'll go register it right now
