Ok,

I am finally making that leep from free hosting to paid hosting, with domain registration and hosting. I was going to host my own site but because of a firewall on my router I can not do that.

I have been looking around and I found iPowerWeb. And frankly it seems a little too good to be true, especialy for the price.

Anyone here have any experience with iPowerWeb? Is it a good option to go with??

Also i am open to suggestions for other good web host with min:
<$20/month
<100MB space
At least 1GB bandwidth
Perl
PHP
MySql
<20 sub-domians
<20 ftp accounts
<5 MySql databases

Thanks,

Chris,

Hate to admit it, but they are pretty good. They are genuine and their service is good too.

Ipowerweb are a well established hosting company and ranked well on quite a few webhosting review sites including this one.

Hope it helps!

You must not know much about hosting.

40 GB/month and 800mb/month for $8 is good.

I'm with gisol.com and they are good. I have been with them for a year and will renew when my plan expires with them.

gisol.com is horrible! Ever try calling them for tech support or tey to get them to honor anything they offeriPowerWeb is pretty bad too. Always crashing and if you actually get close to using 50 gb of transfer they put your site down. If you read their tems of service they can put down any site getting more traffic then avererage. You always get what you pay for here. (except godaddy.com, that's just a ripoff)

I have used them for several web sites. 1,000 MB of disk space and 5 GB/Day bandwidth. Thats right, a day not month. That equates to 150 GB/ month bandwidth. Php, MySQL Cronjobs, all that jazz.

All for a very small fee. Click the link for the price (if I recall we are not permitted to discuss pricing). You will not be disappointed.

I haven't heard much about iPowerWeb, but I did go with GoDaddy hosting some time ago, and had big problems with trying to add anything more than just straight html. I'd still recommend them for domain reg, though. I'm with crystaltech.com right now, and so far all is well.

I also use them. My first paid host and I will stay there when my contract is up in June. I've got 3 domains running and I have nothing but fantastic things to say about them.

Their customer service is incredible.

I am no longer with Gisol but it is not as bad as you would think it is. I don't call anyone for tech support, I just use the tickets and I always received a response either that day or the next day.

I can tell you my service is great, that my customers love my products and services, it is only due to unlimitedgb.com's support.
