Hi

I am revamping my web design business and trying to maximise profits. I currently buy all my domain names from 1and1 Internet and then resell them to my customers for a slight profit or give them free with hsoting or web design for the first year. Through 1and1 I currently pay the following:

£10.44 inc vat for 1 year .com .net .org etc
£4.66 inc vat for 2 years .co.uk

Has anyone found better prices than these or is there a better way to do it? What is the common practice?

Cheers

£4.66 inc VAT for .co.uk?? That's less than the cost price they pay the registrar! You should be happy you get that! (Nominet have a fixed price £5+VAT per domain for all registrars)

Does anyone else use a cart (eg whoiscart) and a domain reseller account? Can anyone tell me the basics of whats involved and what I need to do to set it all up? I would like everything integrated into my existing site completely.
