What is a good place to get a
"www.my-name.com" site? I found a few for about 70 for 2 years and I wanted to know if there are any cheaper ones. Also just a single page would do then I could just link to my tripod page from it.

I currently use Iperweb ( www.iperweb.com ) for several of my sites, and I have so far been really impressed with their service. At $120US per year you can't go wrong - it's got everything you'll ever need! They also offer an even cheaper package at &72US per year.

And if you're not sure, you get a free months trial

Mike,
I have used http://www.communitech.net for ages, they have always been good, but used to lack tech support - however, recently I seem to have been rewarded for sticking with them as I now get responses within seconds to many querries!

That's encouraging JP - I had heard horror stories from their ex customers. Pretty lucky I did too, as I was ready to move two of my sites to their servers

Keep us informed about their level of server, will ya ?

Craig,
It is very encouragin indeed.
I was on the verge several times of moving and was only stalled by the features they offer, and the hassle moving would cause.
If they keep this up they are IMHO the best value host available for medium traffic sites.
Anyone know differently?

PS I also heard the horror stories and boy did they worry me!
