dear members

one of my friend suggested me to get SSL for my website. He said it would make my website more secured..

What I want to know is what is SSL and how does that effect my security.
Where should I look for it. Is it expensive? any recommendation

thanks

Go to any reputable online shop, add an item, go to checkout: You will see a lock sign somewhere on your browser indicating SSL. It encrypts the data to protect the transferring data from prying eyes Smiling A lot of surfers will look out for this sign so you ought to have one.

Take a look at SSL from Godaddy. Cheap.

Just to clarify... you only need SSL if you are actually processing any sensitive information (credit cards, contact details, admin login pages etc). For general information only websites you really don't need SSL

I think there is nothing secure....it is only temporary unless the hackers do jobs to find there way...

Try searching on the Web..

But still if your script is not vulnerable no one hacker will break it. Or this hacker must be a genius in his sphere IMO.
