How can one own TLD?

TLD is a top level domain, ie. .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .US (well this may not be one, it may be considered a ccTLD (country code top Level Domain).

If it were possible to own them, I'd apply for .YOU Imagine the possibilities Smiling

Indeed.... My favourite domain is from GMTV, a breakfast show in the UK. Their domain is simply gm.tv. So cool! Just had to share that!
