Has anyone used SQL Vision? - any opinions or experiences

You say you are looking for an NT providor so I am assuming you are going to be using MS SQL. MS SQL (or any other SQL) is not easy to manage. It is one of the most resource intensive programs that can be on a server - we have a dedicated NT server just for MS SQL sites because of the resources they take. It is highly unlikely that you are going to find ANY host willing to give you MS SQL support for under $50/mo. - unless you want to regret it later. It is just impossible to offer it for under $35/mo. unless you wanted absolutely nothing else with your account (1 GB bandwidth, 10 MB Storage, 1 POP3, and no other features).
I wish you the best of luck in finding a host that will give you MS SQL support for under $50/mo. and not making you regret it. If SQL Vision works out, please do let us know!

Actually I use MS SQL Server at my job nearly every day. (URateIt.com, the web site I'm looking to host is a side project.) I find MS SQL to be a fast, stable, easy-to-manage product (especially version 7). We have SQL Server installed on the same machine as our web server. Doing this actually seems to make returning data from SQL queries much faster.
One of the things that attracted me to SQL Vision is their pricing scheme. It's not plan-based. Instead, you pay for what you use. ($0.20 per MB storage, $5 per GB traffic, and $2 for the IP address.) So, while my site remains small (less than 10MB storage and 500MB traffic), I won't have to pay for disk space and monthly traffic I don't need. (Most SQL plans I've seen give 100MB or more of disk space. I won't need that for a while.)

I was planning on expanding my web site and wanted to use SQL Server. Right now I use Interland, but their SQL plan costs over $35 a month. (A bit steep for a site not generating any revenues yet.) I was looking into SQL Vision. They look good, but I can't seem to find anyone who's used them. (Except for a few sites they've refered me to.) Has anyone heard good or bad things about them? Does anyone know of a better NT and SQL-based host?

If it's any help to you, SQL Vision was hacked about two weeks ago and their server was down for a little under 24 hours.

No, I was saying SQL Vision was hacked. Their web site was down for almost 24 hours and they had this page on their that said this site was hacked by so and so.

I guess it depends on the amount of functions that are willing to give up, the amount of development time are willing to invest on an ongoing basis to support that functionality to give, and how much people are willing to pay AutoMate management.
It's called what tools to use. If they are willing to spend enough, they can have whatever they want. You may suggest hiring a 24 for 265 operations staff ... What could be more powerful and flexible than any other program, if you can afford.
