Good Hosting Company
Hello there. I am looking for a new hosting company for a new site.
Please if you could explain why they are good, rather than just giving me a referal link (although I am not adverse to that if you give a good explanation).
If possible, I would like my own dedicated IP, but my budget is 20-30 bucks a month, so that may be out of the question.
Regards Matthew

I am looking at Hot Drupal hybrid vps
I do a lot of Drupal dev - and need Subversion
They have plans starting at less than $10/mo but the more you pay, the fewer neighbors you have.
They seem to me a very sincere and well-planned service.
My own hosting plans are shared, but reliable and cheap.
You could also take a look at CIS which offers dedicated hosting - I know Mike he's a good bloke.

Yes I am not too bothered about price and my budget can go on something quite small. I have been online long enough to understand that the usual cheap bulk hosting packages are often the worst (dreamhost).
thanks I will check it out

Hi, i am Mike.
I am the person who runs CIS as stated above.
We have some good prices and have not let any of our clients down as of yet.
Our customer support are reliable and technical support can aid you in most cases. They give support in 5 minutes of ticket submission. (This is in most cases)
If you check out our website at www.rsdarkness.com , then you can see what we offer.
I hope that this has proved useful.
Best of luck,
Mike

Well, the mentioned companies are really good, but to my mind Hqhost.net will provide you with better services, because this company was launched into the Internet services market in 2001, so its stability, reliability and reputation go outside the bounds in every aspect of the question.

In order to reach your goal, you need to be well prepared and before you deal with some company you should do a comparison research. As for recommendations, have a look at MMhosting.com, Hostupon.com and Serverpoint.com. They offer considerable quality of hosting services at moderate prices.

I suppose it won't be hard to find anything for your requirements. In particular, I can recommend you ayksolutions.com - they may offer hosting for almost any budget and other requirements, being at the same time very stable and qualified provider...
Take a look. I think it will be interesting for you.
Do not click my links - this might be damage your PC.

If the site is completely new, I think you need something not very large, but having the room for development... Let's see...
Such services are availiable from various providers... For myself, I found ServerPoint.com very good, because:
-They are reputable
-They are experienced
-They are affordable
-They provide all kinds of hosting, platforms, eCommerce carts, etc.
-They are not reseller.
I hope this explanation is good enough for you?

An extra vote for ServerPoint.com. These guys really deserve to be spoken favourably. For those reasons posted by Finntroll at least.

You can definately get a good plan for $20-$30 dollars per month. You would most likely be on a shared enviornemt...but you can sometimes even become a reseller for that kind of a budget.
I second every comment that has mentioned something about good customer support. If it has good customer support, the hosting usually reflects that quality. I know you're asking for specific reasons, and so I'll recommend that you go to sites that monitor server uptimes for WebHosting companies. That way you can see the hosting companies that have the best server uptimes.
