Hey All
My website designers asked me to start looking for a fmis hosting provider as my site is going live soon and a main part of my website is webcams
Ive been looking around and the main company which seems to be top is http://www.influxis.com/ my designers recommended them as well has any one used them or is there any other company which is just as good and maybe cheaper ?
Also what package will I need my team recommended.
Nitrous
Ideal for mid-scale applications
The Nitrous plan is a perfect balance of power and cost ideally designed for the FMIS developers who want to create mid-scale Flash Media Interactive Server applications for up to 40 simultaneous users.
40 Simultaneous Connections
30 mbps burstable streaming bandwidth
(Up to 768 kbps per connection)
500 MB Disk Space
25 GB transfer / month
Price $34.99Month
Now this seems a great package but I am worried that if my site starts getting a lot more traffic than it does now would I get charged for more bandwidth or is 40users was on my site 24-7 would that keep within the bandwidth
I hope ive made sense to recap I need a great fmis host which will suite my needs and my pocket

I think that yoг need or good VPS server or reseller account. I think that it is very important to have decent web hosting for web design company. In this case I can recommend you have a look at
http://globaltap.com/virtualplus.html - if you decided for VPS
or
http://utropicmedia.net/hosting.php?spt=10 if you decided for reseller account.
I hope you know what different betweekn that 2 kinds of web hosting?

I think that if you want your project to be safe I'd say that you need dedicated server. That is the most safe web hosting solution. Agree with Solommon - Globaltap.com (as dedicated server provider) is an option for you.
But if you have your own server - colocate it and it would be even much more better then dedicated

40 simultaneous connections is quite a good figure compared to other providers dedicated plans, I'd say.
How concurrent users are you planning to have on your site?

You may try a VPS from HostV.com as they provide them with a coupon code on their web site: 50PROMO.
Double RAM is one more option that is very useful for the customers.

HostV.com VPS deals are really appealing, it's only worth asking hopw long you are going to get double RAM in your deal, I mean isn't it a one-time offer?

NIce VPS plans ServerPoint.com offers. They have updated them and think they are worth your attention as well.
