I saw a commercial earlier for GoDaddy.com (url: http://www.godaddy.com/tv) and they were offering $3.99 per domain registration. I was curious if any of you guys could find anything cheaper than that - and if you can, please post what it is. I need register another domain here soon, and I'd like to see where the cheapest/most reliable registrar is. Thanks in advance.

I think the GoDaddy price is that cheap if you buy a non-domain product. So you will have to buy something else from GoDaddy if you want that price. I use GoDaddy for all my domains and they are really good. There may be a few companies that charge a dollar less, but I still like GoDaddy the best.

I use GoDaddy as well. Try coupon/discount code: hak5 to get 10% off (or was it 20%?) AOL is offering free domain name registeration, but you have to look carefully at their agreements.

There are a few registrars that offer free domain names (see namesco on the sidebar). But again, you usually have to buy hosting along with the domain. Smiling

I can do .info at $2.95 / £1.56
Also others are available at good prices too, domains resolve same day and you have access to all the usual dns setting etc
see http://internetking.info for more details.
Hope this helps
Thanks

Cheap domains doesn't really mean that cheap. This is cheap only if you buy other services like hosting. The lowest of course is Free domain for a year that comes with getting hosting services.

However, the lowest I can get for domain only purchase is $7/year for .com/.net/.org through my Enom.com reseller account.

I have not seen a website that offers domain name only at less than $7.

If someone saw one, please post it here for everyone's benefit.

Good luck!

$7 is pretty cheap i pay $8.75 for my .com names, however as stated in a post a few up from this,if you are just after a name for a web pressence $2.95 for a .info is good value if you ask me,and there is nothing attached thats what you pay.

Yahoo was offering a deal for $4.99 but this deal is only valid for the first time you register a domain with them.
