Hi, i work on a travel website of over 200 pages. On all pages there are at least 4 images. How can I protect these images? I know that i can place a clear image overtop but with all these pages that would be too time consuming.

It's common practice to visibly watermark images -- perhaps with a company logo or with an url -- so that if/when they are taken, the owner is clearly associated. Most images won't be useful to anyone other than to look at if you watermark them and keep them small.

Watermark them - but also - disable people to right click their mouse button on your website - makes it more difficult dor them to save them...
It's not fool proof but for most people its a good enough deterant.

it's a waste of time trying to stop right clicking, if anything it invites people to get the stuff just for the hell of it (or is that just me
), plus with todays browsers you dont need to any of the old tricks (temp folder, view/page source ...) example in mozilla all you have to do is ctrl u (page source), it shows all your images, links, media ... and has option to 'save as'.
Only way, and this is the only way to stop people taking your work is to not put it on the internet.
watermarking is one of the better methods but it too can be got round
Another common method of getting images off a site is to use a download program, they can suck all images and files in no time. 90% of them use a UA or type/make that you can ban with .htaccess but then you have people like google etc that have the image search.
One thing I always wanted to do was to make a mouse over on right click, when they mouseover the image with right click (to save it) another images shows that says "ohh that tickles" or something (same as normal mouseover but with right click only).
