Hi Everyone!
I have a big problem & I can't figure out what is wrong. I've tried changing my table properties several times & I thought I had it fixed until I just received an e-mail from a customer saying that they couldn't view the left side of my products.

Everything looks fine on my computer & on a couple of others I've checked but on some computers it is messed up.

The problem is this, I have a menu bar on the left side of the page (no problem there) but the main part of the page with my products on it appears to be partially covered by the menu bar. What can I do to correct this from overlapping so everyone will be able to see it correctly? I tried changing the specify width to pixels instead of percent but that didn't correct it. My menu bar on the left is set to 135 pixels in width with the alignment to the left. The main part of the page is set to 500 pixels in width & the layout alignment is set at default.

I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks so much!Confused

Hi gayla,

Do you have a link to this page as that would help people greatly in diagnosing the problem? Smiling

Aha! Right, Do you use FireFox per chance?

I think what you will find is that if you view the page in Internet Explorer (or Opera), your main content is not displaying 500px in width (its closer to 850). Also, the page behaves differently in these browsers and instead of the side menu dropping below the main when you make the page smaller, the main slides under the side menu.

That might help you to establish where you need to make your changes. I'll try and have a propper look myself later but I'm doing 15 things at once at the moment lol

I use Internet Explorer & it looks fine on my computer. I've had a few friends check it on their computers & all of them use IE. Some of them said it was fine but a couple of others said it was messed up on theirs. I don't know what to do to correct this problem. I appreciate your help!

I am not seeing a particular problem in Firefox 2.0 or IE7 on Win xp Pro. But in Opera 9 the product listings are partially hidden under the left column. I do not have a Mac to check on that increasingly popular computer. Sad

The W3C validator reports literally hundreds of validation errors. Expected, as you are using Front Page - a notoriously awful editor. I would urge you to take a serious look at Microsoft Expression[1] - the new and greatly improved version of Front Page.
