Hi Phillip,

Do you have access to a control panel? Like cpanel, whm, plesk etc...

You can usually find it by typing your domain name followed by the name of the software:
-www.philinglephotography.co.uk/cpanel for example

If you have access to these, log in using the username and password that your host provided you when you signed up with them, and you should be able to access the subdomain creation as well as the folder password protection controls.

if you have FTP access you can down load your files and check the .htacess file a good resouce for information on .htacess and to help set up passwords is http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/htaccess/ as your site has a lot of pictures it might be an idea to get your images hot linked

Hi Phil,

HotLink protection prevents other websites from directly linking to files (as specified below) on your website. An example of hotlinking would be using a tag to display an image from your site from somewhere else on the net. The end result is that the other site is stealing your bandwidth.

If your host uses cPanel you can enable HotLink protection in you control panel to prevent people stealing your bandwidth.

Regards, Steve
