How do you make a header thing that at the end curves out, kind of like this forums logo, so its nice and smooth???

Thanks

Learning to use the Pen tool is a good idea. It's a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it, you'll use it quite a lot for making elegant, smooth curves and for clipping masks. Here's a pretty good tutorial for learning the pen.

Also, anti-aliasing will make the curve non-jaggedy.

This forum's logo was made in Fireworks, just in case you're interested.

Megan, is Fireworks easier to use than Photoshop? If it is I might have to go out a buy it.

It depends what you're trying to do. This design was the first and only time I've used Fireworks for anything. Julia uses it all the time though. Download the trial version and see what you think.

I don't think Fireworks in easier to use than Photoshop. If anything I'd say it was harder!
