Hello All,
Well I need to build a new website for our club, the old one is just to much work and I need to put so much more content up online.
The main thing in the site in the forum, I would like it to be PHPBB, I was htinking of having all the site in PHPNUKE, I thought about mambo but well, i think it's just not that good at ehat I want it for.
I also want a profile section with a nice size photo of each member, and also so they can update there profiles.
I would also like an online diary - and way people can RSVP to events - Like meetup.com
+ a photo galley for members to put pics up.
The main thing I want is just 1 log in, so they can do everything and not have to sign in to each bit of the site.

PHPBB and PHPNuke have lots of addons, have you checked out both programs hoempages and seen what they have on offer? all free to by the way

Go for phpBB. Many sites use it. It's good, it works great and most of all if free.

I like the orange colour scheme - it's not something I see often, and seems to work surprisingly well!
From an ease-of-use view, I at first found the menu challenging ie I couldn't find the thing! Maybe make the background colour darker and text lighter, or just make the whole thing bigger! Either way, the menu should be the easiest thing to find.
The rest is good, though!

Why not purchase a template from a online reseller. Saves time and @ about $50 usd not that steep.

As a newbie, I found Mambo to be absolutely perfect to use. I tried templates initially, but found it to be very limiting and since my html was poor at best, mambo worked great. You'll need an ISP that offers mysql and php though!
