I've drawn some comic strips and have scanned them into my computer. I'm looking for a program that can smoothen my picture and make them look manga-like. I've tried Adobe Streamline but it doesn't works.

So you're looking for a program that smoothes out the edges for you, jackchen? The only program I know of that does that is Streamline, which isn't working for you. The only other thing I can suggest is using Adobe Illustrator and drawing your comics in that. It automatically straightens and smoothens out the lines for you.

Oh, thanks Justin. Well, does a Gaussian blur do what you want?

i have done a similar thing before jack (at least i hope it's similar to yours otherwise this is meaningless). i used photoshop and it worked very well but there was a lot of undoing and trying things out and i'm an experienced PShop user. you need to Select > Color Range, put the dropper on the colour you want to mangatise, one by one, and despeckle, blur etc that way, but i wouldn't relish the prospect myself as it takes time - there is no ONE tool you can use to achieve waht you're after as far as i know (i dont use fireworks tho)

Try following the suggestions in this article by Dave Bastian with Terry Colon of Suck.

Basically, the process is sketch, scan, trace, clean, colour, save.
