Has anybody used istockphoto.com? Happy with it or not? Advide for photos on the cheap? It looks pretty descent with a large number of images (most are high quality) and it costs only 50 cents per download.
(I already read the recent thread about a TWF user who started highrez.com. I did check them out. (Good luck with that))
Nip it in the bud!

It used to be a lot better when it was free. But it still has a large database of photographs on it.
Have a look at imageafter.com for totally free images.

I have used iStockPhoto a couple of times. They are a decent source of royalty free images if you are on a tight budget. I have found some outstanding images there, Eye Wire quality, but you really have to dig for them sometimes.

Also maybe check out Deviant Art, if you haven't already. The site is slow and some of the work there is very bad, but I regularly find great stuff in their stock and texture sections.
(oh and yeah it's free)
