I might use an image map in my new design, but I remember I didn't like them for some reason last time I used them a year ago, can any one tell me if there are any bad points about them.
Thanx

The only ones I can think of at the moment are you can't use rollovers and you can't use Alt tags with them. Other than that, I don't think I've run into a problem using them.

I just created a header image for a client that he wanted mapped....I was able to use alt text.
Don't know about rollovers, but I'm working on a project wher I'm using an image map, and the links are alert boxes, and it works fine...so why wouldn't rollovers?

You can do rollovers, but the problem is that on each rollover you have to change the entire image therefore requiring the user to download all those different rollover versions of the larger image.

I think I remember now. I didn't like having a huge load of text in the head text, because I ignored the background color in a certain version of IE.
