Looking at the code, it was made in Flash, and that's all I know. I haven't messed around with it at all before.
Neat site by the way, wonder about the accessibility of it?

Yes, it's Flash, but here's something just like it. The demo on the site is auto turning, but you can also use the mouse to turn the pages.

You can get a similar effect using JavaScript:

As with the Flash example, the quality of the effect depends on your graphics skills.
