Does anyone know if there are any recognised courses/qualifications in Flash? I am looking to do some training in Flash from basic level to more advanced and was wandering if there are any recognised companies/institutions that offer such training. This may be just day courses or official certification courses such as the Microsoft ones.

Thanks

This is an amazing book if you can learn by books.

Do you want to learn more of the design aspect or the programming aspect of Flash? There are some really great website that have tutorials and stuff as well.

Flashkit.com has some great examples and tutorials for you to follow.

I've applied for several jobs in the past that Flash was going to my primary task and none have ever asked for certification and these were very large marketing companies (This was a couple years ago and in the US). So I would probably say if it isn't cost effective then it's probably not worth it.

In my experience, in the web design field a good portfolio is usually more important than qualifications. Web design / flash qualifications are usually a waste of time as the course is normally out of date by time you start it!
