Hi all-

I'm on a G4, and I'm using D MX to create a website. When I uploaded the rollover buttons with sound, they didn't work. I uploaded using, .aif, then .wav files and I checked the results on Safari, IE5, Opera, Firefox and Netscape. It somewhat registered on IE5, but it opened up the quicktime audio file everytime I rolled over a button. Is this a common problem?

Here is some code:

Seriously? Please don't.... If people wanted honking buttons they would go and buy a Play Skool kiddies toy. Unwanted sound are one of the worst things you can have on a website and it will instantly make you look like an amateur.

I pretty much always have iTunes running when I surf the net and hearing buttons honking or background music just pee's me off and I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one.

I can assure you, as someone that has been designing web-sites for six years now and mostly knows what they are talking about, this is not something you even want to consider doing.

If you are going to include music and sounds on a website you should 1. Make sure they dont autoplay 2. Have an option for the user to turn them off completly.
