Hi Guys,

I'm just enquiring how I go about adding some text to my website by way of the 'typing-in' effect.
By this I mean when the page gets loaded by a visitor text starts to 'type-in' / appear, in a certain area of the webpage. Should I be looking into flash for this ? I had a look but couldn't find anything on this in the help section.

Thoughts and advice appreciated.

Sonic.

For longer texts then flash would be useful, if it's shorter then an animated gif can be used... there is one for regular html pages via javascript at http://www.geocities.com/e_i_search/premshree/web-include/pub/scripts/JS/type_writer.htm but only works in IE...

I can code modify this to work on browsers but then it will take time and Im currently busy with development work... Have you tried searching either in google or hotscripts.com?

Check out Swish as well - it's a tool that makes Flash files but it has a lot of tools for making text animations in different styles.
