How do I make my own shipping calculator for a courier company?

How would I go about making a shipping calculator? I have all the data, but can't find any scripts or help for making the calculator. Everyone wants money to use theirs. I want my own.

Any help appreciated.

What kind of data do you have, and for which company?

What sort of programming experience do you have? Do you prefer one language over another? There will be a little programming involved with calculating the rates.

I am not really a computer person. I know is bold .. and is new line. And a few other things.

Okay, I thought I could just get a script that does it for me and I will input the data so it knows what to output when someone chooses an option like sate weight of package etc.

The tags you mentioned are for HTML. Unfortunately, HTML won't cut it for a shipping calculator. If you are going to make one of your own, you are going to have to learn one of the many web scripting languages out there, like PHP, ASP, Perl, etc.

Unless the ones you looked at are extremely expensive, you're better off spending the money on it rather than learning how to make one from scratch...unless you're willing to learn a web programming language.

I would spend the money, but their shipping calculators are for other couriers like fedex dhl etc.. They don't actually let me input my own rates.

I thought it just worked like this.

From: Bankstown
To : Yagoona
Weight: 100KG
Options:
......Express
......2 - 3 days etc.

Price: 2 million pounds.

And a script could like let me input what goes where and does the rest Sad..I thought if theres a script for everything else, why not a calculator! Sad...heheh..tx for your time bud.

What guides do you have that I could look at. I dont want to learn programming anything but a calculator for shipping rates. Ill give it a shot.
