Well after a lot of unscheduled downtime we're finally back. Our hosts took the entire weekend to restart MySQL after a deluge of search engines caused it to crash. Needless to say we're not very impressed. 
Sorry about the recent problems, we knew switching platforms would be a bumpy ride, but we didn't expect this!

I seem to not be logged in on the front page of the forums and anytime I try to click log in, it says Access is unauthorized and I am logged in on that page and every page within the sections and topics of the forums. Also, the login box isn't available on the front page sidebar like it used to be...

That'll be the new caching system, it plays havoc with people already logged in. Have you tried logging out, then logging back in again?
I had to remove the login box from the front page, due to some bug in the caching system. Hopefully it won't be too annoying for people to visit another page to login.

Don't worry about it! I'd rather people didn't have to mess around with logging out, then logging back in again, blah, blah, blah... But there we are, hopefully this new cache will be worth it!
