SIgnature problem

I notice that I can edit a signature for my account. Did that but it does not appear on my post.
Notice that said something in the rules ... that if the post is to short ( no mention what short means ) the signature will not appear.
Any help with this problem?

Well just found what the problem was. Seemed that my messages were to short.
So for the admin: this thread can be closed or deleted.

Some times , Some sites recommended to the no. of post such as 10 post or15 post. So you need to do required no. of post on the site. Then it will show your signature.

This site does not use BB Code, just put in actual HTML.

As Jason mentioned (although incorrect for your issue), short posts do not show the signature.

Another thing to note is that all signature links are marked no-follow, and links in the body of the messages are only allowed if they are directly related to the topic

Unfortunately, this forum receives a ton of spam (even with a lot of prevention techniques in place), and we have to play a game of deciding what is legitimate contributions to the forum vs just a post to get the link. In a way, with all the protection in place, it pretty much forces spammers to actually be people that come here and manually post, which makes it more difficult to moderate trying to judge who is here to actually participate, who is here to get their links in Wink

We try to keep the forum cleaned up of the "crap" postings so that people see posts that are on topic and not full of things just to get links. Example: if a user hadn't logged in for over a year, and they only have like 3 posts in topics related to their signature link, and all they post is "thanks for sharing", I'll generally unpublish them. (trust me, some threads are full of posts like that, or where on thread with a ton of replies, they will copy and paste things posted earlier...)

Like I said, we have to play the tricky game of keeping things ontopic. Generally we will give benefit of the doubt, but then keep an eye on posts/users who set off red flags for us.

PS, here is a prime example (not the real information):

"Hi, may name is Bob Jones" yet they sign up with email of [email protected]... DING! you just went on the watch list to have your posts scrutinized more....

PPS... Another example... Someone writing a simply reply, took the time to enter HTML code for 4 links to their site... (not to mention, that in the large area they are from, how coincidental is it that 3 other users created accounts from the same exact IP address?)
