Just a quick note to let you know what happened last night. The forums were taken down while we transferred the site to new servers. You may have already noticed the significant inmprovement in performance.

This does mean that the ownership transfer is complete (save for a few minor administrative details). An announcement with more information will be posted shortly.

I'm glad that this site is advancing. Smiling

I'm not really noticing any performance changes, but I never had issues in the first place. Wink

I didn't even notice that. I guess it's because I'm always focused on the actual forums....Sticking out tongue

Really?! This is very noticeable, it used to take up to 12/15 seconds to do a search for the days active topics or view new posts. That now typically only takes 0.06 seconds.

Big improvement, the old server was horrendously overloaded, I was constantly worrying it was going to fall over! Smiling

a Padded Cell our articles site!

Is a bit of difference on dialup but still a pinch of lag there - better than before though

The admincp used to be really bad too.

Changes will start happening right away based on the order stated in the announcement. This will begin as stated in the announcement. We will be implementing some revenue generating techniques first (some right away, others coming within the next month or so). The redesign of the forums will come next - we are hoping to have that done by the end of this year but I can't guarantee anything. There is a lot of work to be done.
