What did you think of it?

IMO this movie brings G. Lucas back to the front. I really enjoyed it. Especially the part where the final battle takes off and the part where Yoda rocks with his saber!

*sigh* if only I could make such graphics Wink

How about you? Did you like it?

Really? I heard it was really dumb. Haven't seen it myself though. I didn't see The Phantom Menace either.

My favourite Star Wars was Return of the Jedi - I liked the Ewoks Smiling. Must be a girl thing.

My wee lad (3.5) is off to see it with a family friend right now. I'll let you know how the preschool set feels about it. My friend is a hardcore Star Wars junkie, so I'll probably get to hear from that camp as well, lol...

Hmmm... Saw it last night... In a very crappy cinema but... It had its good points and it had its bad points... Whole sections with anakin & amidala could have been cut out... It was very student crowd in the cinema so lots of laughs at the nightmare scene... The effects were awesome and I do mean awesome... Loved the final battle scene and Yoda's fight was just brilliant... Should have lasted a lot longer though...
IMO Go see it... You'll enjoy it It just won't be the best film you see...
I'm waiting for spiderman thats gonna be so cool...

I'm anti-star wars, I swore I would never watch one of those movies but my friend, is a hardcore star wars freak and she said it was "awesome, simply awesome"

We saw Spiderman yesterday, now THAT was an awesome movie. I love, it's a great mix of everything cool. The effects at first were like, woah, fakeness but then it got real lol Overall, I adored every moment of it.

It was a great flick! We went and saw it Sunday afternoon with a packed theater. I had to make a beeline for the bathroom, what a long movie!! The graphics were totally awesome, I was not thrilled with the "love" part of the storyline, but I know it was essential to the final result. Smiling I think that some of the scene changes to a different scene was too quick...but then the movie would have been longer, right?

Good flick, worth my $5.50 and the kiddos liked it too!

Just went with the kids and some friends. Kids make a movie a bit of a challenge to watch. I thought it went too fast in parts and too slow in others and basically failed to engage me, but mostly I was annoyed by the Yoda scene. It just seemed so out of character and pointless.

Anyway, I would have liked to see the alien vessels a little more closely, and the aliens, but eh, at least some of the blanks are filling in. A bit heavy handed, but overall not bad.

I believe in ObiWan.

Hello everybody,

This is my first post on this forum. Laughing out loud

I saw the movie on a local theatre a few days ago and it was a good movie overall. Of course it's not comparable with the original StarWars movies. The scenery they used in some scenes was really out of this world! However, they did have a few mistakes in some scenes. For example where the senator is going to eat the pear, it was very poorly done. One other thing that ruined the movie IMHO was that Yoda always walks around with a stick, right? How could he suddenly jump/bounce around like he did in the final fight!? Don’t get me wrong, it was a really cool fight, but you know what I mean.

Cheers,
Saeed

Yeah..great film...for that genre..
and yes i have seen all the originals more times than i can count.
Yoda was 'jumpin' with the force at the end there, ya know?
He can't draw on it in full all the time!
I like the love story...and also the glimmer/glints of Anakin's dark side..
i wanted the movie to continue on to his becoming....so to speak.
I could of watched for another hour at least without a pee break Sticking out tongue
I too wished i could 'pause and do close up' on some of the effects...so totally awesome. Some folks have great jobs!
All in all, it put my faith back in George, after the horrible PM ..
but even so, no one engages me as much as any of the orignal characters...
May the force be with you Wink
